The Ashtanga School of Yoga was developed by American yoga practitioners in 1975, and the traditional teaching method is Mesoelic (a self-supervised practice named after the birthplace of Astanga Yoga).
Ashtanga Yoga is famous for its rigor and scientificity. It has a fixed order and can not be changed and innovated at will. This challenging force yoga can quickly improve physical strength and concentration, focusing on synchronization of movement and breathing. This exercise produces intense internal heat that cleans all parts of the body, keeps it away from the pain and gives the practitioner a light and strong body. Nowadays, with its scientific nature and quick results, it attracts a large number of devout practitioners, including many famous international singers such as Madonna and Sting.
Ashonga yoga requires daily or regular exercise time. Each student will practice according to his schedule and degree. An Astanga yoga class takes one to two hours, depending on the student's own progress. But beginners are more likely to take shorter exercises.
